The performance review, planning and development (PRPD) process is a consultative process between staff members and their supervisors for the purpose of providing feedback about performance and planning future activities.

Academic staff may apply for promotion or accelerated progression through the annual promotions procedure.

The systematic development of a personal career Portfolio will assist with providing evidence to support PRPD documentation and applications for promotion or progression. The NTEU has published "Preparing and Presenting a Teaching Portfolio", a guide to assist Academic staff in this endeavour.
